Finally, Audrey and Julie are back from SIA and I can now talk more about the new Collections Elements products. The show went brilliantly and from what was said the new products and samples were well received.
If you would like to have the opportunity to win a sample of all of the new products then simply add a comment to this post about Collections Elements.
Now that the SIA launch has been and gone I can scream from the rooftops how much I love the new products and share some of the samples we made. Only problem is Julie still has all the samples, but I am sure I might have a few pics filed away somewhere, not the best pics as they were taken indoors in a hurry as Audrey was packing her suitcase to go.
The sample below is one of the new coat hangers, they come in three sizes and are just perfect to decorate and hang your own creations on. The papers used are from the previous release. The wings and hearts are also new. The scallop borders, transparency & frame are Collections products also.
Here's a couple of cards I made using the new papers, transparency, scrolls, wings & hearts, micro butterflies, scalloped borders & nested rectangles.
Just before the girls left we looked at the samples and figured out which products we hadn't used a lot of and decided to do a chook challenge, as we were lacking in that area. Here's another card above I made using these ever so cute creatures covered in glitter of course. Also on the card are Collections giant circles, floral bouquet flowers, cheeky chicks, scallop borders, baby alphabet & blue/cream alpha.
And then there are the art boxes, I have a feeling these are going to be huge. Audrey and I already have a few classes booked using these products. I'll be able to share the images of those later in another post and let you know where we'll be teaching.
But for now onto more samples and those boxes, sorry about the photography again, like I said before they were snapped at the last minute whilst Audrey was packing her suitcase.
So the art boxes, if you head over to The Collections Blog you will get a glimpse of the class Julie taught at SIA. These boxes have so much potential, there are 3 large (size of 2 small) and 3 small ones in the packet. Like other Collections products they come flat packed with instructions on how to construct them. I have only made the one box so far, but Audrey has made a gazillion and I am hoping she will share them here very soon. Anyway here's mine.
Another sample using the new floral bouquet, scalloped borders and those cheeky chics is;
I made a few monster (as in very very very time consuming) projects that I want to share but Julie has those samples so I'll have to wait to photograph them.
I'll check with Audrey as maybe I can share some of her samples too, needless to say I'll be back with more samples and details of where & when we will be teaching, hopefully at a store near you.
And finally (hopefully not many get down this far) don't think we've lost all creativity because here are the 30minute challenge things we made the other night. I should have posted it whilst the girls were away because no doubt I'll cop it for sharing them. I had to hide them as Audrey was threatening to take them away with her.
Oh and don't forget to leave a comment, say something about the Collections products and you could win a sample of every new product, I think there is around 40 or so of them.
Until next time, take care everyone
Max

oh, collections makes my heart go pitter patter and my knees go weak! There is something just so powerful in naked chipboard, it invites, almost begs for an artistic touch and Julie's designs makes it so easy to create. Thank you for a wonderful collection!
